Event Attendants -  "As needed" schedules!

The Venue is currently adding to its list of team members to assist with event set-up, tear-down, and light customer service activities. Event Attendants will be called as needed and offered opportunities to work on a rotating basis, based upon the upcoming event schedule. So, attendants have the option to work as often or as little as they’d like (not to exceed part-time), without any expectation of a set schedule beyond those events to which they commit.

SPECIFICALLY, WE ARE IN NEED OF EVENT ATTENDANTS THAT CAN WORK ALL SHIFTS (WEEK-DAYS, EVENINGS & WEEKENDS). PLEASE BE AWARE HOURS WILL NOT YET BE REGULAR, SO ONLY THOSE INTERESTED IN TRUE PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT SHOULD APPLY.

These positions are perfect for retirees, students, or other individuals seeking part-time income. The starting pay for Event Attendants is $14 per hour plus occasional gratuities. In addition, since The Venue is a department of the City of Lenoir City, students seeking community service hours to qualify for Tennessee Promise or other scholarship opportunities have the option of designating some hours as “volunteer” in lieu of pay, in which case The Venue will provide documentation of service for reporting purposes.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (or current high school student)
  • Excellent customer service skills (server and/or bartending background preferred, but will train)
  • Ability to follow directions and a strong team orientation
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate various events
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds in a safe manner
